What You Will Need:

  • ·       1 ½ cups of maize flour
  • ·       ½ cup flour
  • ·       5 tsp oil
  • ·       3 cups kidney beans
  • ·       3 finely chopped onions
  • ·       8 tbsp ketchup
  • ·       1 ½ cups tomato puree
  • ·       3 tbsp butter
  • ·       6 dry chilies
  • ·       3 tsp sugar
  • ·       ½ tsp ajwain
  • ·       Salt to taste
  • ·       ½ cup sour cream
  • ·       1 cup grated cheese
  • ·       Sliced jalapenos
  • ·       Water as required

 

What to Do:

  1. Mix the maize flour, flour, 3 tsp oil, ½ tsp oil, and water as required. Knead the ingredients into a soft dough.
  2. Roll them into flat and round chapatis and cook them on tawa. Set them aside.
  3. Soak the kidney beans overnight. Then boil them, rinse, mash, and keep them aside.
  4. Heat the butter and saute 3 cups of chopped onions till they are translucent.
  5. Add the beans and cook well. Then add the tomato puree, ketchup, salt as required. Cook the mixture and mash at the same time until the color darkens. Then keep it aside.
  6. Soak the red chilies in half a cup of water.
  7. Saute the tomatoes, onions, chilies in oil. Cook until the tomatoes are done and water as required.
  8. Let it cool down, and then blend it.
  9. Heat this sauce and add ajwain, sugar, and salt to it and cook it for 10 minutes.
  10. Now take one of those chapatis and spread the rajma paste, hot sauce, and sour cream. Add some grated cheese, jalapenos, onions, and roll the chapati. Serve immediately.
